Randy Orton is a professional wrestler that
currently works for the WWE wrestling promotion.
Born in Tennessee, Orton signed a deal with the
WWE back in 2001, and then began training with
Ohio Valley Wrestling; part of the WWE
developmental program. Prior to this, Orton
trained at the Mid-Missouri Wrestling
Association-Southern Illinois Conference
Wrestling, and also refereed several World
Organized Wrestling matches.
Orton has
been a fantastic performer since joining the
WWE, has held the much coveted WWE Championship
twice, and the World Heavyweight Championship
once. Randy Orton is also a one-time Tag Team
Champion with Edge, won the 2009 Royal Rumble,
and has also won the Intercontinental
Championship. He's of an excellent wrestling
pedigree, and was trained by his WWE Hall of
Fame father Cowboy Bob Orton.
Randy
Orton's first wrestling match was against the
fantastic Hardcore Holly in April 2002, and
straight away Orton became a total fans
favourite within the WWE. Throughout the years
he's many times switched from hero to villain,
always he remains to be an excellent wrestler
though, and since arriving in the promotion has
really established himself as one of the biggest
names in the WWE. He's a top performer, a hugely
talented wrestler, and since making his debut in
2002 has been involved in some incredibly huge
matches throughout the years.
Orton
formed a fantastic partnership with Edge in
2006, forming the supreme tag team duo of
Rated-RKO. Defeating D-Generation X, Edge and
Orton were great together, and although the
partnership eventually fell apart with the pair
of them becoming rivals to win the WWE
Championship; their reign together was great
while it lasted, and they really did put on some
fantastic fights as a partnership.
Having
also formerly partnered with Triple H during his
early days in the promotion, Randy Orton has
more recently been battling against Triple H as
well, both of them also hungry for the WWE
Championship. Currently held by Edge, the WWE
Championship has changed hands many times in
recent years, and always the top competitors in
the WWE are eager to win the belt. The WWE
Championship has been the cause of many broken
partnerships throughout the years, and although
it's sad to see bonds broken over the belt; it's
always fantastic to see former partners fighting
it out against one another in a bid to win the
WWE Championship. Randy Orton is one of the very
best wrestlers in the WWE right now, and having
already won the WWE Championship twice; he'll no
doubt win it again in the not too distant
future.
Both his father and his father's
father were wrestlers; Randy Orton is from a
proud wrestling background, and with the father
that he has; it's really no surprise that he's
such an expert in the ring.
He knows how to
work a crowd, he's got a brilliant record in
wrestling, and never does Randy Orton cease to
amaze with his performances in the ring. He's a
huge talent in wrestling right now, and will
surely remain a WWE superstar for some time to
come.
Randy Orton is one of the biggest
names in the WWE right now, and could well go on
to become one of the greatest wrestlers of all
time. He certainly has the potential, and
already a superstar all around the world; it'd
be excellent to see Randy Orton enter the WWE
Hall of Fame in the future, and join his father
in the list which comprises of some of the
greatest wrestlers ever to have existed.
